It describes the distribution of a set of data, indicating how likely different outcomes are within a given range. Many statistical analyses, such as hypothesis testing, rely on assuming or approximating a normal distribution for the data. Programs like R, Python with libraries like NumPy and Pandas, and statistical software packages like SPSS and SAS provide powerful tools for data analysis and visualization. These tools simplify complex computations, making statistical analysis accessible to a broader audience.
